2020: Wishes Need Stars Like You (40th Anniversary)
What a privilege to be able to help this incredible organization! I’ve been lucky enough to work with Make-A-Wish for the last four years, and was the recipient of the 2019 Douglas Kiker Award for Excellence in Media, leading to $85m+ in earned media. And I can’t thank Team One enough for taking on the account, and helping create this spot to highlight 40 years of wish granting. This spot was made with love, and stars some amazing wish kids, their families, and Linda Pauling- the founder of Make-A-Wish. Special thanks to Coldplay for donating their track, wish kid Sarina for the beautiful cover, John Cena for lending his voice, and our amazing production partners who all gave their time to create this pro bono- Greenpoint Pictures, TOM, TiltShift, Company 3, ShinDig Music, Margarita Mix, The Village.
2019: Where There’s a Wish, There’s a Way.
Chiat\Day generously allowed me the talent and resources to bring Make-A-Wish’s 2019 campaign to life. There’s a common misconception that a wish is always ‘a last wish’. In fact, wishes can be transformational. That hope can give a child the strength to fight, and sometimes, to get better. Our 360 integrated campaign (in both Spanish and English) told the stories of wish alum who have experienced the positive impact of their wish many years later.
The campaign garnered more than 1.2B+ impressions and $42MM in media value in the first six months and Make-A-Wish exceeded its campaign goal by 250%.

2018: Wishes Take Muscle
A 360, multi-platform marketing campaign generously supported by Chiat\Day. The objective of this campaign was to communicate that Make-A-Wish is an essential part of a child's medical treatment plan because wishes have proven physical and emotional benefits that can give children with critical illnesses a higher chance of survival. John Cena, who has granted more than 500 wishes, co-stars in the PSAs alongside actual wish kids, like Kaheem who wished to be a superhero. In addition, the campaign featured several all-star celebrity wish granters including Johnny Depp, Becky G, Steve Harvey and Judd Apatow, who lent their talent to enhance the collective Make-A-Wish voice through the campaign video and radio series.
A unique strategy to engage the public and sponsor and celebrity partners was the integration of the #ArmWrestleChallenge. As part of the "Wishes Take Muscle" campaign, Make-A-Wish launched this fun and engaging social media activation. People in every community across the country are essential in making wishes come true, and they were encouraged to participate in the #ArmWrestleChallenge to help raise awareness and funds for Make-A-Wish.
The campaign garnered more than 620MM impressions. John Cena's discussion of the campaign on THE TODAY SHOW garnered 4.2MM impressions. Top Social Media Influencers participated in the campaign: WWE, John Cena, WWE Sheamus, Guy Fieri, Bella Twins, Philadelphia Eagles, Rhett & Link, Lily Singh, Dude Perfect, Coyote Peterson.
